High Speed Touring (HST) at Hallett is your chance to drive your car on a real road racecourse at an affordable cost.... So you've got a really neat performance car - vintage, modern, exotic or one of the many sporty performance tuner coupes and sedans that are in vogue. Our challenging 1.8 mile road course will allow you to really open-up your car to the spirited driving for which you think you and your car are capable. No traffic citations at the track! Are you really wanting to be an on-track driver and not just a spectator, but maybe not quite ready for wheel-to-wheel racing? Then the High Speed Touring Series is for YOU! It's great fun for all motor heads AND you can afford it! HST lets YOU, at modest cost, get lots of seat- time lapping, AT SPEED, in performance-oriented STREET CARS! It's easy to qualify you and your car for HST lapping at the Hallett Circuit with the self tech form on website/event registration. First, you must be at least 18 years old and become a member of the our track club ($50 a year). ANY street-legal car (excluding SUVs, trucks, wagons, or vans except by specific permission) can be used WITHOUT normal race prep...no roll cage, no driving suit, no prior competition driving experience are required for this non-race series.  All convertibles MUST have factory rollover protection or be pre-approved by HMRC management. If it is your first time to drive on the Hallett track in this HST series (each direction CW & CCW), you are REQUIRED to sign up for the Driver Education class ($75 one-time fee each direction). You will attend the DE classroom with our team of driving instructors.  HMRC is uniquely constructed to drive safety in BOTH directions which makes for 2 different racing courses in 1 location! Ample run-off space and soft barriers make our track one of the safest for street cars. You must have factory seatbelts or better, wear a Snell SA2015+ or newer safety helmet (rentals are available on first floor of tower), and driver/passenger must wear a long sleeve shirt and long pants while you drive on track for fire safety precautions.
